Grange Bowmen Club Rules
The following is in addition to ABA’s Code of Conduct and are not meant as a substitute for reading the ABA's Code of Conduct.
- All visitors to the club must sign-in and pay the applicable shoot fees upon arrival and before shooting.
- Parents/guardians must sign-in their under 18 year-old member on club shoot days and special events.
- Arrows must only be aimed at and shot at a targets.
- Smoking or vaping is only permitted in the designated smoking area.
- All archers must have a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.0%
- No sky drawing is permitted at any time.
Australian Native Animals
To non-members and members:
The shooting or injuring of native wildlife is strictly prohibited and unlawful as all native wildlife in Australia is protected. In the context of bowhunting, there are absolutely no exemptions for targeting native wildlife. All members are urged to promptly report any suspicious activities to the relevant local authorities, the ABA, and their local club.
Any act of shooting or injuring native wildlife will be treated as a criminal offense. The Australian Bowhunters Association is committed to ensuring that individuals engaged in such activities face legal consequences. If a member of the Australian Bowhunters Association and Grange Bowmen Inc is convicted of a crime related to the harming of native wildlife, their membership with both organizations will be promptly terminated.
Etiquette
Some archers take their shooting very seriously while other archers see the sport as a leisure activity. It is important to be mindful of those who may be disturbed by disruptive behavior and to show due consideration towards them.
All members are advised:
- Refrain from talking to or disturbing other archers while they are shooting.
- After completing your shots, quietly step back from the shooting line to allow other archers to finish without disruptions.
- Avoid making remarks about another archer's shooting performance during an end unless it pertains to safety.
- Refrain from commenting on another archer's shooting as it may cause distraction or upset.
- Offer supportive and encouraging remarks to fellow archers, and avoid making disparaging comments.
