Try Bow Cup Shoot

Member only Fun Style Shoot 

(All current full members and probational members welcome) 

Shoot Format

• The shoot consists of three rounds held over one day:

1. Traditional bow (longbow, modern longbow, Asiatic bow etc)
2. Recurve bow
3. Compound bow

• The archer can shoot these rounds in any order they choose
• Scoring shall be ABA three arrow scoring • There will be ten targets per round, set out at ABA distances
• There shall be one bonus target set at a non-ABA distance which shall score double points.

Shoot Rules

• Only one peg position per target (cub, junior and adult).
• Wood, carbon or aluminium arrows allowed
• You may borrow or lend archer suitable bows between members or use a club bow (the bow must be safe for the archer to draw and shoot)
• Minimum of three archers per group (score, check and call)
• Scores to be recorded against each bow type on the new Try Bow Cup Score Sheet

Prizes

• Shall be awarded to the highest score achievers in Adult, Junior and Cub Divisions
• The Try-Bow Cup will be presented on Annual Awards Night, with archer’s names added to the club Honor Board
